A GROUP of 15 finalists will perform their songs live at a Wirral songwriting competition.

On Friday, July 12 finalists of the Songwriter Challenge will take to the stage at the West Kirby Arts Centre to perform to a panel of judges.

The competition, which is in its first year, is judged by head judge Jim Pearson, North West indie songwriter and winner of the Liverpool Acoustic Competition 2023, Tony Woof, founder of West Kirby Arts Centre, Isabelle Ryder is now an award-winning composer published by Oxford University Press, and critically acclaimed Caroline England, an award winning singer-songwriter and vocal coach.
