POLICE are looking for a man after a woman was sexually assaulted while on a bus in Wirral.
At around 12.10pm on Friday, April 26, a woman was on the Arrive 437 service travelling in the direction of Birkenhead.
The bus stopped at Claughton Village, opposite Birkenhead Sixth Form College, when two men got on and sat next to her.
They spoke to the victim before one of them sexually assaulted her.
Other passengers on the bus intervened and notified the driver who stopped the bus and asked them to get off. They got off near Birkenhead Park station.
Merseyside Police has now issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to trace who they believe could assist with their investigation.
Detective Inspector Sarah Wilkinson said: “This was clearly a very distressing incident for the woman involved.
“We would like to speak to the man pictured as we believe he could help with our enquiries and I would urge anyone who recognises him gets in touch.”
Anyone with information is asked to DM @MerPolCC or Crimestoppers anonymously quoting reference 24000380604.
