A four-day beer festival featuring live music and a family funday will be held next week in aid of local charities.

Taking place at Hoylake Rugby Club on Carham Lane in Hoylake from this Thursday (June 27) to Sunday, June 30, the inaugural Wirral Summer Hops Beer Festival is described by the organisers as 'a four-day celebration of craft beers, live music and community spirit'.

The Sunday Funday will feature family-friendly activities and entertainment for all ages.

Food will be on offer from local vendors including The Dough Bros Pizza, Namak Kitchen Authentic Indian Cuisine and Bangers Burgers.

Chris Nolan from North Wirral Round Table told the Globe: "North Wirral Round Table and Paul Lavelle Foundation are thrilled to launch our first charity beer festival this summer.

"We're really excited to bring the community together to support these great local causes.

"We can't wait to see everyone there—it's all about enjoying good times and giving back to the community! Expect great brews, fantastic food, live entertainment, and good times!

"The weather is going to be brilliant but even if it's not we've got you covered with a huge marquee for all our guests.

"The drinks are kindly being provided by the amazing people at The Ship & Mitre pub who have gone to incredible lengths to support our event.

"We have had such a warm reception from all the local businesses and people we've approached and we hope this will be the first in a new tradition of annual summer beer
festivals for Hoylake.

"We invite everyone to join us for a weekend of good times and goodwill, and we look forward to making a difference together"
