THE Carlton Players’ next production, Verdict by Agatha Christie is being staged this week.

It is about Karl Hendryk, a professor who has fled persecution in his homeland to live in London with ailing wife Anya and her cousin Lisa, her carer.

Their lives are quiet until the arrival of a spoilt student, Helen Rollander. It is described as 'not a murder mystery or a whodunit but a profound and thoughtful piece that deals with the human experience'.

The play is on at The Little Theatre in Grange Road West, Birkenhead from tomorrow (Tuesday, June 18) until Saturday (June 22). Performances start at 7.30pm. Tickets from 0151 647 6593 or ticketsource.co.uk
