An event aimed at 'celebrating health and wellbeing' will be held at St Catherine's Health Centre in Birkenhead next week.

The third NHS Celebration and Sharing event, organised by Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, is at the centre on Derby Road on Wednesday, June 19, from 2.30pm– 4pm.

A number of services will exhibit on the day, including long covid, children's speech and language, community cardiology, family nurse partnership, MSK physiotherapy, Spartacus the therapy dog and many more.

Also exhibiting will be Age UK, Wired, Flourish Wellbeing, Health Watch, Tomorrow’s Women, Koala North West, DA Languages, Signalise and Health Assured. There will also be a raffle with prizes to be won.

A spokesperson for the trust said: "With a focus on health and wellbeing the event is open to the public and is an opportunity to find out more about the Trust, learn about the improvements and innovations taking place, and the many different services offering health and wellbeing support in the community."

The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) will be bringing along its new mobile research vehicle, which will be parked, between the St Catherine’s Church and the Health Centre.

The spokesperson continued: "It will be a great opportunity for anyone interested in taking part in research to talk to NIHR about how to get involved.

"Come along and soak up the atmosphere."
