Mosh Tots returns to Birkenhead’s Future Yard this summer

Mosh Tots Festival is a fun-filled family celebration that’s set to take over the entirety of

Future Yard’s indoor and outdoor spaces this summer.

With a cutting-edge programmeheaded up by The Mosh Tots Band, festival-goers can expect a range of educational workshops and energetic performances, with facepainting, crafts, disco dancing and more.

The Mosh Tots series of gigs for kids has been hugely popular since launching in 2022, providing a safe and fun environment for all to experience gigs.

The weekly Mosh Tots - Gigs For Kids shows are aimed at music lovers aged three to eight.

Each week The Mosh Tots Band host the shows, focusing on different themes and musical ideas to make the shows informative as well as entertaining.

The festival is a multifaceted version of these weekly shows, with special guest performers and opportunities for children to get hands-on with instruments.

Melodic Mac, leader of The Mosh Tots Band, says: “Every week we get to see children smiling and raving at our shows, it gives you such a buzz to see and feel the positive energy in the room.

“And it’s not just the little Moshers, it’s the adults, too.

“You see the connections that are made through the shared joy of a live show - and the only thing that beats that is when we get to do it on a bigger scale for our Summer Festival.

“You don’t need to be good at singing or dancing or playing an instrument to enjoy it - you just need to like having fun.”

As well as performing twice on the day, each member of the Mosh Tots Band will be hosting a workshop which makes use of their individual skills:

Chuck Stick hosts a story time workshop Ham String’s parachute games are not to be missed; and the party-starting rock and pop stars definitely don’t want to miss Melodic Mac’s open mic karaoke.

Alongside the music, families will have the chance to get involved with a range of activities that are educational and entertaining. The ever-popular Jam Lab returns, where the little Moshers can get hands on with making some noise; Blissful Bees join us to host a yoga session; Toucan Tango return to let you design your own gig poster; while there will be plenty of craft activities, workshops, ice creams and Moshtails to keep everyone entertained.
