MEET our dog of the week, Jay, who needs your help to find a forever home.

The 12-year-old French Bulldog Cross has found himself back at Dogs Trust Merseyside after eight years of happily living in a home and is hoping it is third time lucky.

He is described by staff at the rehoming centre as 'gorgeous'. He has been returned through no fault of his own and the team are hoping that as this lovely boy can live with teenagers, his new family comes along to adopt him soon.

Georgina Lowery, manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said: "Jay is C so we know he'll bring lots of joy to his new family.

"He is very active, despite having lost some mobility in one of his front legs, and when it’s time to go for a walk, he will put himself in his harness for us! Jay is a happy chap and always willing to say hello to people.

"He even sailed through his first vet check without any worries about being examined.

"He is also dog friendly when he's out on walks and although a little pushy when introducing himself, he quickly settles and will walk with anyone.

"We really hope this friendly boy finds his new forever home very soon."

Jay would like to be the only dog in the home as he likes to keep his toys to himself. He would prefer his family to be around, particularly whilst he settles in, as he doesn’t like to be left home alone.
