A LIVERPOOL woman has been announced as a contestant for Love Island 2024.

The new series of the ITV2 dating show will see a raft of singletons enter the villa in Majorca hoping to find a match.

And this year’s islander line up has been revealed ahead of the shows first episode which is set to air on Monday, June 3.

It includes Samantha Kenny, a 26-year-old make-up artist from Liverpool. 

She said: “I’m ready to settle down and Love Island is an amazing opportunity to meet someone that isn’t from my area. I love a cockney boy so I’m hoping there is one in there for me.

“I think I will definitely bring some fire, I’m very opinionated and wear my heart on my sleeve. I’m really bubbly too so I’ll definitely have a laugh as well as bringing some Scouse glamour.

“I think the guys will be drawn to me as I’m outgoing and very easy to get along with. I’m confident, naturally funny and glam. I think they will like my chat!”

Samantha, who hopes to find a cockney boy, said her reason for being single is not getting out enough.

She said: “I don’t get out enough. I work weekends and tend to not go out in Liverpool anymore. If I want a night out I go down to London as I love the boys down south. Tall, dark and Cockney is my type.

“I want someone career driven, funny and loyal. Loyalty is the most important thing to me.”

Revealing if she could bring any celebrity into the villa, she added: "Justin Bieber because he’s hot! I’d also like to have David Attenborough with me because he’s really clever, and Olivia Attwood because I think she’s hysterical.

Love Island returns to screens on Monday June 3 at 9pm.

The first episode will be simulcast across ITV1, ITV2, ITVX and STV.
