A NUMBER of dead sharks were found washed up on a Wirral beach over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Pictures taken by Wez McInnes show bodies of some of the nine sharks lying on New Brighton beach on Saturday evening (May 25).

"Apparently they’re Starry Smooth Hound sharks, which if true are not usually found this side of the world."
