A TEENAGER was threatened by a masked thug while at a bus stop in Wirral.

At around 8.45pm on Monday, May 20 it was reported that a 15-year-old boy had his black Cube e-bike stolen from him while he was waiting at a bus stop on Mount Road, near St George’s Gardens.

Three men in a white car pulled up near the bus stop before one of them who was wearing all black clothing and a balaclava got out and threatened the boy.

The man left the scene on the bike and the other two, who were also wearing face coverings, drove off in the direction of Greenway Road.

Although the boy was uninjured, he was left distressed by the incident and an investigation is underway to find the men responsible.

Detective Inspector Philip Ryan said: “This would have been an incredibly upsetting incident for the boy and we are taking this incident extremely seriously.

“This happened on a busy road when there may have been other people in the area, so if you were on Mount Road and saw the incident, please let us know.

“If you live in the area or were driving past at the time, please review your CCTV or dashcam footage to see if you captured anything suspicious.
