A BREAKFAST challenge which remains “undefeated” is returning to a Wirral café this weekend.
Breakfast lovers can take on the challenge at Roo’s Café on New Ferry Road, New Ferry this weekend – but those wanting to take part need to be quick as the owners have said the challenge is “this weekend only”.
To complete the challenge, customers will need to finish eight hash browns, eight black puddings, eight sausages, eight bacon rashers, eight Ulster fries, eight eggs, four slices of toast, four slices of fried bread, a bowl of mushrooms, a bowl of beans and a bowl of tomatoes.
Challengers will need to finish the mega breakfast in 35 minutes to secure the meal for free while those who fail will need to cough up £30.
Andrew and Colleen took over Roo’s Café in January and launched the breakfast challenge on January 20 of this year.
They told the Globe: “We came up with the ides when we became the new owners because we wanted to drum up some business and thought it would be a good way to get us on the map and get customers talking about us.
“So far only six people have attempted the challenge but no one has defeated it.
“Due to customer enquiries over the past three weeks, we’ve decided to bring it back for this weekend only.”
Those wanting to take on the challenge can contact Roo’s Café on Facebook.
