A FASHION designer is giving customers the chance to fully customise their “dream outfits” after launching a new feature on her website.
Megan Ruiter from Birkenhead set up her brand Ruiter in 2021 after completing her fashion degree at university.
The 25-year-old currently has more than 16,000 followers on Instagram and has seen her designs on social media influencers and Love Island stars.
Now Megan has launched a new feature on her website that allows customers to design their own outfits online ready for her to make.
She told the Globe: “The new feature allows customers to design their own looks so they can choose what neckline, sleeve type if they want it and also what length so mini, midi or maxi. They can also choose what fabric and colour they want.
“It means they can see what their end design would look like by using different images on the website.
“The new feature is all about allowing any woman of any age or size to feel confident in what they wear so they can choose their own style they find flattering and appropriate for themselves.
“I do bespoke designs for people’s proms, birthdays, or night outs where people will send me inspiration but a lot of people can’t visualize what the end product will look like so this feature allows them to visually see what’s in their head before they purchase it.”
The ‘design your own’ feature launched on Wednesday, May 8 and has already proved a success.
Megan said: “It’s had a really positive response so far. I’ve had a few orders which is great.
“When I set up my website I decided to use three different women at different ages to showcase a daughter, mum and nan because I wanted to show how different age groups can wear the same looks just modified to suit them.
“It’s also great for people who may be more self conscious of their body type because they can choose styles that they find more flattering which then helps them to feel more confident so I’ve tried to consider what everyone loves.”
