NEW Brighton's picturesque Vale Park is 125 this year and to celebrate the milestone two local business owners are aiming to get people socialising and creative through events and workshops.
Lindsay Hudson runs regular furniture painting and renovating workshops in Vale House, teaching people how to transform old furniture with Frenchic.
Lorraine Logan runs Art In The Park and jewellery-making workshops. This year, the two are organising nearly new sales, and craft and vintage fairs.
If you’re looking for something to do, here is a run down of what's on ….
Paint Club
Every other Monday evening from 5.30pm-8pm at Vale House, Lindsay runs fun furniture painting workshops for all abilities. People bring an item of furniture to paint, all materials are provided and they get to learn a new technique each time. The classes cost just £15 and you get to take away your stunning new masterpiece!
To book a class, call or message Lindsay on 07939 536 638
Furniture Painting Workshops
Similar to the classes, Lindsay runs more intensive workshops on the last Sunday of every month. These run from 10am-3.30pm and go into much more detail so you’re able to come away fully skilled! Once again, you bring an item of furniture to transform and the workshops cost just £65 with all materials included.
Don’t fancy it yourself? Lindsay can come out and transform your furniture at home for you! Lindsay offers an upcycling and furniture painting service on commission for anyone looking to revive tired furniture at a lower cost of replacing. This includes kitchens, bedroom furniture, UPVC, front doors and more!
