THE second series of Channel 5’s TV series Coastguard returns this weekend.
The cameras are back for the return of the suspenseful Channel 5 TV series, Coastguard.
After more than five-million people tuned in to watch the first series of the fly-on-the-wall documentary about the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, a second outing has been commissioned.
Film crews have been working over the coming months to capture the dramatic challenges facing the teams who keep people safe at sea and along our coast: from Coastguard Rescue Teams, maritime rescue coordination centres, and helicopter crews to marine surveyors and investigations teams.
The River Mersey appeared in season one of Coastguard: Every Second Counts which aired in July 2023.
The episode featured a crewman who tragically passed away while attempting to board a Tugboat while jumping off a Jetty on the River Mersey.
Series two features six episodes with episode one airing on Sunday, April 28 at 8pm.
