TWO men were rescued from the shoreline near Hilbre Island by RNLI volunteers.
Yesterday evening (Sunday, February 25) crew members from West Kirby RNLI were called out to help two men who were "in distress".
The West Kirby Lifeboat BV206 was launched to the site where a crew member saw the pair struggling in the shallows and mud and rising tide.
The men were brought to safety and administered first aid by casualty carers.
They were then brought to shore where they were treated by North West Ambulance Service.
