A NEW mural will be created at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet this weekend.
The community-led mural is encouraging visitors to visit the centre and contribute to the permanent art piece.
The large mural has been created by Manchester-based artist Oskar (with a K) and will feature bold colours and vibrant patterns made from a graffiti-style spray paint.
Oskar said: “I’m really excited to be partnering up with Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet to deliver a workshop mural.
“Visitors will get the opportunity to contribute to our visual piece ‘The Oaks’, and I can’t wait to get people trying spray paint for the first time.”
Visitors who participate within the mural will not only receive a gift of their handywork being on display for all to see but also receive a tote bag including a mock-up of the mural, a polaroid photograph of them painting the mural, along with other branded items from around the Designer Outlet.
Kenny Murray, General Manager at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Cheshire Oaks said: “This is the first time we have encouraged our local community to come and create the new mural with us at the Designer Outlet.
“It’s a way to thank and support our local community and we cannot wait to see the final piece of artwork.”
All visitors to the centre on February 17 will be able to participate in the mural. Protective clothing will be given to all participants while spray painting their contribution and there is no age limit.
