A PEDESTRIAN has been taken to hospital with a "serious head injury" after being knocked down by a car this morning (Monday, February 12).
The incident was reported at around 9.35am on Bedford Road in Rock Ferry and involved a car and a female pedestrian aged in her 20s.
The driver stopped at the scene and the pedestrian was taken to hospital with a serious head injury.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "A road closure is currently in place while emergency services deal with the incident.
