THE Met Office has issued Wirral with a yellow weather warning as snow is expected to hit the region.
Forecasters have predicted that a period of snowfall could bring some disruption on Thursday and Thursday night, leading into Friday.
The yellow weather warning for snow will start at 3am on Thursday (February 8) and last until 3am on Friday (February 9).
There is a small chance that power cuts will occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected.
There is a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut off and a small chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.
