A HOST of acts are tuning up to take the stage at the third Wirral Guitar Show, which is taking place next month.
Organised by Mojo Guitar Shows, it takes place at the historic Hulme Hall in Port Sunlight on Sunday, February 11.
Among the entertainment will be Chicken Bone John, described as "Godfather of the cigar box guitar". Also playing will be father and son, Wirral Gypsy jazz duo, Modjango and "young acoustic guitar wizard", Connor Thomas.
As well as live music performances, there will also be more than 100 tables of new, pre-owned, vintage guitars suitable for people who are new to the guitar up to seasoned professionals.
The show has a great mix of individual collectors, guitar builders, guitar art, music shops, new / vintage guitars and guitar accessories, basically everything guitar related.
Organiser, Ken Dixon, told the Globe: "We were asked to put the guitar show on by a group of local musicians, who had previously attended the Wirral International Guitar show, which sadly came to an end, so it was inspired by local guitar enthusiasts.
"The guitar show has been extremely popular with several hundred people attending each time its been held.
"It attracts visitors predominantly from all over the North West, North Wales and Cheshire, however there are many people who travel far further to attend."
Admission to the show is £6, which includes entry to a prize draw with the lucky winner receiving a brand new Chord Telecaster style guitar, along with other prizes drawn throughout the day.
There are no pre-sale tickets, payment is cash or card on the day. Under 12s are free, when accompanied by an adult.
There is a large amount of free parking near to the venue. There will be hot food and drinks available at Hulme Hall to purchase on the day.
