List of Warm Hubs in Wirral to help during cold weather

Households and families struggling to pay their fuel bills this winter may also be experiencing food poverty and social isolation.

Warm spaces offer residents somewhere they can go to get warm and enjoy company while some also offer warm drinks and food.

Wirral InfoBank has compiled a list of the warm hubs available to people across Wirral.

St Mark's Church - New Ferry

They're opening our doors every Friday morning this winter, inviting anyone to enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee in a space which warm, welcoming and safe. All welcome.

Family Supper Club - NEO Community

Neo Community is a community organisation working within The Wirral and the North West. The family supper club happens each Monday after school. 

All families with a child or children in years 1 to 3 are welcome for friendship and community. There will be creative activities and a family-style dinner.

Young at Heart - St John the Baptist - Meols 

Young at Heart is held at St John the Baptist in Meols. Young at Heart” is a warm space with quizzes, games, jigsaws, company, tea, coffee and cake.

No Charge - target group older adults. This is on every second Monday of the month.

Warm Hub - St Chad's Church, Irby 

St Chad's Church in Irby is holding a Warm space on Tuesday mornings from 9am-12:30pm.

Warm Space - Coffee Morning - Our Happy Hub 

Our Happy Hub is a charity in the community created by some like-minded people who have bonded over a passion for improving their mental well-being.

Each Friday morning a coffee morning is held with bacon butties at St Andrew's Church in Noctorum, from 9am to 12pm.

Open Hands Cafe - Woodchurch Methodist Church 

Open Hands Cafe has partnered with Freedom at Woodchurch Methodist Church. There will be hot food served.

You may charge your phone, and meet your friends. There will be free WiFi and you will be able to access advice on housing, benefits, debts and mental health support.

Warm Hub - Moreton Baptist Church 

Moreton Baptist Church is a lively and friendly church for all ages. They hope you will experience the love of Jesus not just on Sundays but every day of the week.

They are holding A welcoming space for everyone to keep warm this winter. They are currently open term time only on Wednesdays from 1pm to 3pm and Fridays from 9am to 11am. It is free.

Warm Welcome - St Andrew's Church, New Brighton

St Andrew's Church, New Brighton is holding a Warm Welcome every Friday from 10am to 2pm.

This is free and please come along.

Welcome Wednesday - St Vincent de Paul Society 

St Vincent's Centre Wirral are having a Welcome Wednesday with activities from 11.30am to 1.30pm.

There will be hot food, refreshments, fruit and much more. It is all free.

Warm Welcome - Christ Church Hall, Port Sunlight 

Christ Church at Port Sunlight run a Warm Welcome on the first Tuesday of each month from 9am to 12pm in the Church Hall.

Everyone is welcome to join and take part in activities, enjoy free hot drinks and toast, and access information from local support services. Guide and assistance dogs are welcome.

Welcome Space - Moreton Methodist Church 

Moreton Methodist Church is holding a welcome space on Wednesdays from 10am with toast along with hot drinks.

From midday light lunch which will usually be soup is provided. There is always someone to talk to. Papers are provided and table puzzles are around to test the mind.

Community Hub - Hebron Evangelical Church, Liscard 

Hebron Church in Liscard is holding a warm space each Tuesday from 10am to 12pm.

There will be tea and coffee, with snacks and activities.

Light Lunch - Jubilee Church Wallasey 

Jubilee Church Wirral is a lively, family-friendly Evangelical Church based in Wallasey.

Their Jubilee Light Lunch is back and it's still completely free.

Friendly Faces - St Andrew's Church, Bebington 

St Andrew's Church is an inclusive fellowship where all ages are nurtured and enabled to use their God-given gifts.

They are offering a free, friendly, warm space at St Andrew’s Church Hall on Highcroft Avenue, Bebington. Join them on Thursday mornings starting from November 3 onwards.

Lunch Club - St Oswald's Church Bidston 

A beautiful Anglican church in the heart of Bidston Village. St Oswald's Church is holding a Lunch Club on Wednesday afternoons.

Lunch club is open to absolutely everyone, and is a warm and welcoming space for the community.

Warm Hub - Koala Northwest 

Enjoy a hot meal and get to know your community. Take part in craft sessions and other activities.

Cosy seating area available for reading, chatting and chilling.

Place of Welcome Coffee Morning - St John the Baptist Meols 

St John the Baptist is holding a Place of Welcome Coffee morning on Thursdays from 10.30am to 12pm.

All are welcome - no charge " pay as you can”. There will be tea, coffee, bacon butties and toast.

Community Choir - St John the Baptist Meols

St John the Baptist is holding a Community Choir on Friday evenings.

This is a warm space with good company and fun and absolutely no auditions.

Greet, Eat and Meet - Heswall URC, Heswall 

Each week enjoy light refreshments; hot drinks, biscuits, and toast, Board games, Crafts, Meet and chat with different people.

Places of Welcome Cafe - St John the Baptist 

St John the Baptist is holding a Place of Welcome Cafe on Mondays from 11.30am to 1.30pm. All are welcome.

Wirral Veteran's Breakfast Club - The Wirral Joint Services Club 

Supporting veterans and serving members of the armed forces, blue light emergency services, NHS and support staff.

Mind Maintenance Morning Group - Men Too

Men Too is a group designed by men for men. A group made for keeping healthy and keeping a healthy mind.

They offer a safe, therapeutic environment where we meet, chat and reduce isolation. They take part in things such as confidence building, art therapy and meditation to improve mindfulness.

The Community Hub - Involve Northwest 

The Community Hub is a welcoming community space you can drop into for exciting free activities or a good old natter with a relaxing cup of tea or coffee.

The idea behind The Community Hub, within our Community Village building is to add extra support for our clients and visitors, giving everyone a friendly, warm, inviting space to walk into if you need them.

Community Meal - Our Happy Hub

Coffee Morning - Prenton United Reformed Church 

Prenton is part of the United Reformed Church (URC) – the Church that came into being in 1972 out of a union of Congregationalists, English Presbyterians and later Churches of Christ.

They hold coffee mornings every Wednesday at 10am followed by lunch at 12.30pm. These sessions also provide a warm space especially during the winter months. All are welcome whether or not you attend this or any other church.

Warm Hub - Coffee Roast at Vale House 

The Coffee Roast at Vale House is now open as a warm hub on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Warm Hub - St Andrew's Church, New Brighton 

St Andrew's Church, New Brighton is holding a Warm Hub every Friday from 10am to 2pm. This is free and please come along.

Communi-Tea Space - Neo 

In their Community Café they hold our Communi-Tea Space where you can enjoy free hot drinks and toast in a homely space, you will always find a friendly face and a warm welcome.

Warm Hub - Claremount Road Methodist Church 

Claremount Road Methodist Church provides a warm hub on Thursdays and Fridays. Please come along there is no referral needed.

Coffee and Cake afternoons - Jubilee Church - Wallasey

Jubilee Church is a group of men and women who love God and believe that he has called us to be his ambassadors in the Wirral.

They welcome all people and all ages. They are holding a Coffe and Cake afternoon each Monday from 1pm to 3pm. You are guaranteed a warm welcome, someone to chat with and, best of all, it is all completely free of charge.

Toasty Tuesdays in St Bridget's Centre West Kirby

Toasty Tuesdays is every week in term time. A new group for children in primary school, accompanied by a parent or guardian – just drop in and join them.

Warm Welcome - Sacred Heart Parish Centre - St Vincent de Paul Society 

A warm place to sit, TV, game, hot food and food parcels to take home.

Heart4Refugees Drop-In 

They offer well-being, emotional and practical support to refugees and asylum seekers living in the Wirral area.
