THE Wirral Globe, in partnership with Wirral Chamber of Commerce, will host a Jobs and Careers Fair this month.
The event will be taking place at The Lauries, Exmouth Room, 142, Claughton Road, Birkenhead, CH41 6EY on Thursday, January 25, between 10am and 2.30pm.
It builds on the Globe's first careers event, which was staged last September.
Joint event sponsors are Work with Vista and Wirral Chamber of Commerce.
Mark Fry, commercial partnership/events director for Wirral Globe, said: "We know that finding the right candidates for your business can be difficult and trawling through CVs online isn’t always the best way to find potential employees.
"For this reason, the fair will be a great opportunity for employers to meet job seekers in the local area.
"Whether you are looking to recruit full-time or part-time workers, apprentices or volunteers – the fair will be an ideal place for you to connect with the right people."
With the event brought to you by the Wirral Globe, the intention is to reach candidates in every sector.
Andrew Kilmurray, editor of the Globe, said: “We’re delighted to launch this careers fair to help businesses and other employers identify the candidates they need and help job seekers find the routes to the roles that they want.
“A great part of this event will be bringing jobseekers face to face with employers to make connections that will hopefully prove invaluable.
“It will also be further evidence of how the Globe can play a wider role within the Wirral business community and help the local economy thrive.”
Confirmed exhibitors so far include Work with Vista, Home Instead, Kare Plus, DWP, ISL and Local IQ.
