A BAR is wanting to become the first 23 hour venue in Liverpool city centre.
After opening its doors in the Summer of 2023, Scruffy Murphy’s Irish/American themed bar has proved to be a huge hit with both locals and visitors from outside of the city.
Now as the bar enters the New Year the owners are looking to open 23 hours a day, every day of the week.
A spokesperson for Harrison’s Bar Group, said: “We are currently considering making use of our 23-hour licence, which is in place.
“This would mean our operating hours for Scruffy Murphy being 6am until 5am daily. An announcement will be made very soon on this via our social media platforms.”
Located on Matthew Street, the bar is the sister site to the original Scruffy Murphy’s on Harrington Street.
The venue offers several pool tables and 18 live HD screens which show a variety of sports including football, boxing, rugby and horseracing.
In keeping with Mathew Street tradition, Scruffy Murphy’s also hosts live music seven nights a week, with open mics and karaoke so that guests can show off their own musical talents.
The bar will release more information about operating as a 23 hour bar on its Instagram.
