A WIRRAL schoolgirl stars in a new Amazon Prime film that has been released today (Friday, January 12).
Eight-year-old Lucia Aliu, who is represented by London and MediaCity UK-based talent agency, Scream Management and a pupil at Great Meols Primary, appears alongside Kaley Cuoco, David Oyelowo and Bill Nighy in the new film, Role Play.
Lucia will be playing Caroline Brackett the daughter of Emma (played by Kaley Cuoco) and Dave (played by David Oyelowo) Brackett.
The film follows the marriage and secret life of Emma Brackett, as an assassin for hire. A secret her husband discovers when the couple decide to spice up their marriage.
Lucia auditioned for Scream Management in 2021, at the age of five, starting her acting career in 2022, starring in the award-winning ITV Soap, Coronation Street as Maisy Wheatley, the daughter of Nicky Wheatley (played by Kimberly Hart-Simpson).
She got the chance to work closely with soap regular Daniel Osbourn (played by Rob Mallard) during the “grief of Sinead” storyline.
Lucia has since been featured in a number of adverts (Duracell, Specsavers) as well as high-profile TV shows including Hijack starring Idris Elba, which she filmed concurrently with Role Play.
Lucia has recently been confirmed to appear in two further feature films.
Despite her young age, Lucia has a CV mirroring that of a celebrity and is already taking the acting world by storm.
Lucia’s parents Victoria and David said: “We are incredibly proud of Lucia and her astounding achievements to date. We can’t wait to see her big movie debut.
"It comes as no surprise that Lucia is driving her dreams forward, she’s determined, resilient with an infectious passion for film. We are so excited for what the future brings on screen. A career in TV and film was never in doubt.
"We are so thankful for the wonderful team at Scream who have been Lucia’s sole and only agent since joining.
"Our shining star is navigating her way through these amazing adventures with a smile and cheekiest of laughs."
Jessica Bell, senior talent agent from Scream Management added: "We are all so proud of Lucia and her achievements so far.
"She has such a bright future and we are so proud to support her and aid her in her journey."
