AN award-winning bistro looking out onto West Kirby’s picturesque promenade has a 'Bacon & Bubbly' offer throughout December and on New Year’s Day.
Tanskey's aim is to get people out and enjoy a walk around the lake rather than stay inside — with freshly grilled bacon and some chilled sparkle at the end of their stroll.
Its 'Bacon & Bubbly' offer is available every day from 9am and consists of a crispy bacon sandwich and a glass of Prosecco for £8.50, with champagne upgrades available.
Also on offer throughout December at the quaint little venue on South Parade are turkey baguettes served with roast potatoes and gravy on the side and a Christmas specials board.
There’s mulled wine, mince pies, Christmas cocktails and lots of other Christmas themed delights to enjoy during the festive period.
The venue also has two very special movie nights with It’s A Wonderful Life being screened on Friday, December 15 and Andre Rieu’s Christmas In London Concert being shown on Saturday, December 16 — offering dinner, popcorn, a bottle of wine and a movie for just £30 per person.
The bistro offers light bites, lunches, specials, quality teas, coffees and cakes, is fully licensed and is a much loved destination for those enjoying a walk around the Marine Lake. The family run business is celebrating 12 years as being one of the most ideally situated venues in Merseyside.
Tanskey's owner Hannah Cleator said: "Getting out and enjoying a walk around the lake is so great for mental health — there are stunning views over to Wales and the fresh air and exercise can work wonders.
"Our bacon and bubbly breakfasts are a great excuse to get out and active here in West Kirby — you can’t beat a quality bacon butty and a glass of Prosecco or champagne.
"December is always special here at Tanskey’s and we have fabulous festive food and drink.
"The Christmas movie nights are always magical too — it’s just so much better than staying in and with a delicious meal, popcorn and a bottle of wine for £30 it’s a great value night out.”
