EIGHT Wirral businesses have been rated by the Food Standards Agency.
From a score of zero to five, food hygiene ratings are given to food handling businesses after an inspection has assessed how well they comply with food safety laws.
The rating reflects the standards of food hygiene found on the date of the inspection by the local authority.
What do different food hygiene ratings mean?
- 5 - Hygiene standards are very good.
- 4 – Hygiene standards are good.
- 3 – Hygiene standards are generally satisfactory.
- 2 – Some improvement is necessary.
- 1 – Major improvement is necessary.
- 0 – Urgent improvement is required.

• The New Brighton Hotel at 93 Victoria Road, New Brighton, rated two on October 19.
• Crush Limited at F Chapman High Class Butcher 19 Village Road, Heswall, rated four on October 19.
• The Sweetest Thing at 107 Mount Road, Tranmere, rated four on October 19.
• Bear Hunt Books and Toys, at Unit 1 2 Church Road, Bebington, rated four on October 17.
• The Coffee Roast @ Vale House, at Vale Park House Community Centre Vale Park Magazine Lane, New Brighton, rated four on October 17.
• Stollies, at 105a Wallasey Village, Wallasey Village, rated four on October 16.
