WITH Christmas fast approaching, people will be getting into the festive spirit by attending the ever-anticipated Christmas light switch-ons.
There is nothing better than watching the bright lights with the whole family in the run-up to Christmas.
Here is a list of events and timings that are happening across Wirral in the coming weeks.
The Big Switch On - Light Up Greasby
Light Up Greasby will be hosting their annual festive event, which is going to be "bigger and better than ever before".
On Sunday, November 19 they will "illuminate the village, and welcome Christmas to Greasby for 2023".
There will be a Christmas market, live music and entertainment, story time with Father Christmas and a lantern parade.
The event will run from 3pm to 6pm.

Moreton Christmas Lights
Moreton Christmas Lights and Moreton in Bloom are hosting their switch-on event on Saturday, November 25.
The event will run from 10am with the switch on at 5pm.
There will be a bar and food, a Santa and Mrs Christmas grotto and live music.
Christmas Markets will also be available on Oakenholt road.

Upton Village Community Group
The Upton Village Community group is celebrating the start of Christmas by hosting a fantastic light switch-on for Upton.
The light switch on will start at around 4.45pm on Friday, November 24.
Lights will be switched on by the Mayor of Wirral, Cllr Jerry Williams at 7pm.
There will be live entertainment, craft stalls and more.

Wallasey Village in Bloom
Wallasey Village in Bloom invite you to join the Festive Fun at their Christmas Lights switch-on taking place on the corner of Baywater Rd and Harrison Drive.
Mulled wine, mince pies and festive fun for all the family.
The event will be held on Sunday, November 26 from 4pm onwards.

Hoylake and Meols Christmas Lights
Hoylake and Meols Christmas Lights will be hosting their switch-on at The Row.
The event is being held on Saturday, November 25.
It will start at 4pm, with the switch-on taking place at 6pm for everyone to enjoy.

The Oxton Society
Oxton village will be holding their switch-on event on Saturday, November 25.
There will be mulled wine, Santa's Grotto, entertainment and street food.
The switch-on will take place at around 3.30pm.

Hive Youth Zone
Templemore Road in Oxton Village will once again be lighting up their road to raise money for Charity.
Switching on the lights on at 4.30pm on Saturday, November 25, this year the residents are raising money for The Hive Youth Zone in Birkenhead, who support some of the most vulnerable and most at-risk children across the Wirral.
With the rise in the cost-of-living families are struggling more than ever, so the Hive has never been more needed.
