A 70-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a car.
At around 10.10am today (Friday, October 27) police were called to Bromborough Village Road in Bromborough after it was reported that a pedestrian had been involved in a collision with a black Toyota Yaris car.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, has been taken to hospital and is receiving treatment for injuries which police have said "are not life threatening".
The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
Road closures were in place while emergency services dealt with the incident, and they have now reopened.
