THE order of service for a schoolgirl who died following a bus crash on the M53 has been released.
At around 8am on Friday, September 29, a school bus overturned after crashing into a reservation on the northbound section near Junction 5 at Hooton.
15-year-old Jessica Baker, a pupil at West Kirby Grammar School and from Chester, and the 40-year-old driver, Stephen Shrimpton, from Ellesmere Port, died in the incident.
Jessica’s family have released new images of the “talented and dedicated” schoolgirl on the day of her funeral.
Jessica's funeral will take place today, Friday, October 27 at 12.30 pm at St Theresa's Catholic Church in Blacon, followed by committal at Blacon Crematorium.
The order of service, issued by Merseyside Police, for Jessica’s funeral shows that tributes will be read from West Kirby High School and Jessica’s Climbing Club followed by multiple hymns and prayers.
Family tributes will also be heard from Sean, Sarah, and Rebecca.
The family has also asked for donations in memory of Jessica to be made to Climbers Against Cancer.
Mourners arrived for the service at St Theresa’s Catholic Church in Blacon, Chester, wearing black, with some carrying flowers.
The church was full for the ceremony, with a video link to the school next door for those who could not fit in.
The front of the order of service showed a graphic of a climber, in memory of Jessica who represented the North West and Wales in climbing competitions across the UK.
