TODAY is National Fitness Day - a whole day dedicated to getting out and about - exercising and keeping fit.
This year's theme is 'Your health is your life' on the UK's most active day of the year with hundreds of people across Wirral being inspired to try something new or continue on their fitness journey.
Today, Wednesday, is aimed at encouraging people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to recognise and celebrate the life-long physical and mental benefits of being active.
With the support of Movember and Endurance Zone, National Fitness Day will support people taking their first step on their health journey.
Earlier this year, we searched for Wirral's best fitness of gym instructor.
We wanted to celebrate yoga and pilates instructors, body pump and spin teachers and personal trainers and we put together a top ten.
Matt Colligan at MCT Fitness was the runaway winner beating off some tough competition.

Mark James, Better Body Fitness and Nutrition
Mark’s sessions are “fun and dynamic no matter your fitness level, shape or size”.
One nomination said: “There is no judgement and his sessions are always friendly and full of encouragement.”
Another said: “I would have been lost without Mark’s positivity and support when recovery from knee surgery didn’t go to plan.”

Jonny Priest, Fitness Wirral Group
One nomination said: "I'd like to nominate Jonny from Wirral Fitness Group.
"Made an old unfit lady like myself believe I can get fit and lose weight all while having fun!"
There's always a "friendly and supportive atmosphere which makes it easier to stay motivated" and there is a wide range of classes to fit all tastes, preferences and abilities.

Stephen Bonner, Pure Gym Bidston Moss
According to his satisfied clients, Stephen is “the best personal trainer in Wirral” so he was a must for our shortlist.

Claire Pearce Roberts CP Dance Fitness
We were inundated with nominations for Claire and her fitness classes which take place in Bromborough, Neston and Hoylake.
One recommendation said: “She caters for all abilities and encourages everyone to get involved.”
She does Zumba, Clubbercise and Broadway Boogie as well as Stretch, adult dance and hula hoop classes.

Victoria Crowden, Revive Spin and Stretch
Clients who do Victoria’s classes say she has “created a wonderful, nurturing environment where nobody feels excluded or unwelcome”.

There were several joint nominations for this couple referring to them as Mr and Mrs Spin!
