MAGENTA Living joined forces with other housing associations nationwide to celebrate Starts at Home Day on Friday (September 1).
Starts at Home Day was launched in 2015 by the National Housing Federation to celebrate supported housing and the difference it makes to thousands of people on a daily basis.
It is a day of celebration, to shine a light on the work housing associations do to provide care and support to residents, help people to live independent and happy lives and to build thriving communities.
Magenta Living’s Executive Director of Customers and Communities, Andy Lomas, said: Starts at Home Day is important to us because it’s a great opportunity for us to join together with other housing associations to show the real impact of these services.
“That’s why we hosted events on Friday at three of our supported housing schemes – Hartley Place Extra Care, Barncroft Extra Care and Sunningdale. We were delighted to welcome Justin Madders MP to Hartley Place Extra Care in Ellesmere Port, along with local politicians to each scheme.
“This gave us the opportunity to showcase the wonderful facilities we have and to show how proud we are of the work that our colleagues do on a daily basis, making a positive difference in so many people’s lives.”
