NEW Brighton's The Light will celebrate National Cinema this weekend by offering tickets from £3 on a range of films.

Following on from the success of last year, The Light is bringing back the discount cinema day on Saturday, September 2, and extending it to include select showings on Sunday to give as many people as possible the chance to catch up on all the latest blockbusters, recent releases, and independent films for a fraction of the normal price.

With recent releases ensuring there is something for everyone at the cinema, there is the chance to catch global sensations Barbie, Oppenheimer, and Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One.

There are also brand-new releases such as The Equaliser 3 and Cobweb, and family-favourites Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Blue Beetle.

On Sunday, they will be screening select shows at £3 including National Theatre’s hilarious, one-woman show Fleabag, family favourite The Super Mario Bros movie, a Toddler Time screening of Bings Animal Stories, as well as an Autism Friendly showing of Elemental plus much more.
