A POPULAR Birkenhead gym will reopen under a new name next month, with Anytime Fitness Birkenhead set to throw open its doors.
The gym on Grange Road, which was previously known as Fitness4Less, has been in the been purchased by Renata and Steven Holliday, who are making a six-figure investment in the business.
The venue is currently closed for the internal and external refurbishments but will be reopening next month as an Anytime Fitness with 24/7 opening hours and new state-of-the-art equipment.
Renata, who is looking to retain some of the employees that customers and clients are used to seeing at the gym, said: “We’re so excited to be opening Anytime Fitness Birkenhead and supporting local people with their health and wellbeing.
“The current team has built a great community in such a short period of time and we’re looking forward to building on that and providing a welcoming and inclusive gym that the area can be proud of.
“Both Steven and I have experienced first-hand the positive impact that exercise can have on our physical and mental wellbeing, which is why we’re so passionate about owning our own gym.
“We want the gym to be a hub in the local area and you can expect to see us out and about in Birkenhead over the next few weeks, as well as hosting some fun events for everyone.”
Members of the new gym will benefit from state-of-the-art equipment, group exercise classes, small group personal training and personalised support from the gym’s in-house coaches.
Renata and Steven are also investing in some extra touches for members to enjoy, including Theragun massage guns and a body scan machine.
Anytime Fitness was founded in the USA in 2002, opening its first UK gym in Bristol in 2010.
It now has more than 180 gyms across the UK and Ireland, as well as more than 5,000 locations worldwide.
As part of their membership at Anytime Fitness Birkenhead, members have the unique benefit of being able to access all these locations worldwide with their purple access fob.
