A LUXURY hotel restaurant in Chester is celebrating after being recognised for its impeccable service standards, which have seen it shortlisted for a leading industry award.
Arkle, The Chester Grosvenor hotel's 3 AA Rosette restaurant, has been shortlisted for the AA Food Service Award due to its consistent delivery of outstanding service in the realm of fine dining, with winners set to be announced on September 25.
Recognising restaurants that deliver exceptional standards of service and hospitality, the AA Food Service Award, a competitive category in the esteemed AA Hospitality Awards, seeks to honour those who deliver flawless, technical service skills with food and beverage knowledge of the highest standard.
The awards aim to shine a light on the best establishments across the country, with the Arkle being nominated alongside the highly respected Woven by Adam Smith in Coworth Park hotel, and The Strathearn in The Gleneagles Hotel.
Since Arkle’s inauguration last year, the restaurant has continuously flourished. It swiftly attained the accolade of 3 AA Rosettes, whilst also being named in the Michelin Guide and receiving the AA Notable Wine List Award.
It is the centrepiece of the Grosvenor, whose Grade II listed building has stood near the Eastgate Clock in the centre of Chester since 1865.
Commenting on the nomination, Executive Chef Elliot Hill said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be nominated for this award, and honoured to be up against some incredible restaurants. It’s a true testament and credit to the whole team who work tirelessly in delivering service to the highest standard in making Arkle a truly wonderful and unique experience, and we are so grateful for all our customers who we get to entertain every service."
Aga Szopa, Food and Beverage Manager at The Chester Grosvenor, said: "I am so proud of the team for being one of just three finalists for this award, it’s an amazing achievement and recognises the level of service we strive to provide and the feedback we consistently receive from our guests. We want our guests to leave having had the best dining experience with us and the team are at the heart of that, providing a service that is knowledgeable, polished but lets their personalities and passion for what they do shine through."
