TELEVISION presenter, author and businesswoman Sarah Beeny will be visiting Neston to talk about her new book.
Sarah Beeny is best known for presenting Property Ladder (2001–2009), Britain's Best Home (2003), Streets Ahead (2005–2006), Property Snakes and Ladders (2009), How to Live Mortgage Free with Sarah Beeny (2017), Sarah Beeny's New Life in the Country (2020–present) and Sarah Beeny's New Country Lives (2023).
The 51-year-old from Reading began her property and investment businesses at 19 with her brother and her then-boyfriend, Graham Swift, who is now her husband.
After documenting their renovation of the Grade II-listed mansion Rise Hall in Yorkshire on Channel 4’s Beeny’s Restoration Nightmare (dividing their time between London and Yorkshire while running it as a wedding venue) the couple sold up in 2019 and moved to a 220-acre sheep farm in Somerset with their four sons Billy, Charlie, Rafferty and Laurie.
More recently, Sarah, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in August last year, released a documentary in June with Channel 4 titled Sarah Beeny vs Cancer, which follows her diagnosis with the disease and treatment.
The Simple Life: How I Found Home is Sarah's new book, which will be released in August.
In The Simple Life, Sarah will tell her story of her life, sharing stories and experiences in everything from parenting and work/life balance, friendships, nature and the environment, to her cancer diagnosis and treatment, discovering that sometimes life is not so "simple".
Sarah will visit The Neston Club on Station Road at 7pm on August 29.
