A WIRRAL woman has launched a new podcast with her friend discussing life's most "awkward" conversations.
Kristy MacLeod, 41, from Hoylake and her friend Lyanne Nicholl, 42, from Malpas, launched their new podcast This is Awkward on Wednesday (July 12).
The pair are joined on the podcast each week by a new guest, who is on hand to offer their expert advice and guidance on a wealth of topics.
Subjects range from how to broach an embarrassing problem with your GP, how to navigate awkward conversations in the workplace, through to speaking to your partner about money, or tackling taboo subjects such as miscarriage and infertility.
Kristy is a communications consultant who has spent over 20 years working with some of the UKs leading charities. From raising awareness of cancer symptoms, to breaking down barriers for disabled people in the workplace, her passion lies in bringing about positive change through sharing real life stories.
She said: "The reason we started the podcast was because we felt that if we are having lots of these conversations, then the chances are, other people are too and we wanted to bring in some experts to help us navigate these tricky waters.
"So, for anyone who has ever come away from a difficult situation wishing that they had said something different, or wishes that they had simply said something at all, this podcast is for you."
The hour-long episodes consider what it is about certain topics that make them so hard to talk about, plus what other people can do to help make their own challenging chats go more smoothly.
Kristy said: "Awkward conversations are universal. This podcast is for everyone who has ever come away from a difficult situation wishing that they had said something different, or wishes that they had simply said something at all.
"We all feel lost for words sometimes – hopefully, this podcast might give someone the inspiration they need."
