A NEW first-of-its-kind dog social club has opened in Wirral.

The 6,000 sq. ft. centre has opened on Champions Business Park in Upton and offers doggy day care, dog training, a huge play centre, a ball pond, an outdoors play field, a groom room, a holistic therapy room, a shop and cafe, social events with doggy bingo and doggy quizzes.

The new centre, the first and biggest of its kind in the UK, has been opened by Dogs Go.

Dogs Go are a multi-award-winning members-only dog park based in Raby that opened in 2017.

At weekends, from 10am until 2pm, the centre hosts member-only dog playtimes (social events) where both dogs and owners can come together and enjoy fun games in a controlled, safe environment.

Owner Sarah Ashworth said: "Dogs Go in Raby has developed a fantastic reputation as we are very thorough and have a strict membership criteria that dogs must meet. Our doggy camps and social events at the park are fun, interactive and safe — improving dogs’ mental health by socialising, stimulation and training.

"We have been transforming dogs’ lives and the owners are amazed at how they develop with us.

"To now open this huge, first of its kind social club centre is a dream come true. There’s nothing like this around that offers so much under one roof. We not only offer doggy day care, where people can leave their dogs in a safe environment having fun and being trained, but also social events, grooming, holistic therapy, a cafe, shop and more."

What does the centre offer?

The ‘Dogs Glow' groom room will be open soon — offering everything from cuts and trims to washes and facials. The ‘Dogs Flow’ holistic therapy room will also be opening soon — offering doggie treatments such as massage, reiki and acupuncture.

Dogs Go Social Club offers free membership and all new dogs are taken through a strict induction process at one of the social events. They are given a behavioural assessment before playing in a smaller area and then being integrated into the main play area with other dogs. They are then given a flower garland, medal and party bag after their first session.

Sarah added: "We’re really proud of what we do and we have had hundreds of five-star reviews over the past six years. This is because we’re extremely thorough and we love dogs with all our heart.

"We’ve had almost 12,000 dogs visit us since opening in South Wirral and this new centre will take things to the next level — helping even more dogs enjoy a better way of life.”

Dogs Go Social Club is open Monday to Friday 7.15am until 6pm and dogs social events at weekends.

It offers free membership and there is a big ‘Launch Paw-ty’ happening from 2pm on Sunday (July 2).

Tickets start at just £5, with lots of dog and owner fun, games, prosecco, food, treats, goody bags, stalls, music and more.
