Who deserves top plaice when it comes to the best fish and chips?

IN honour of national fish and chips day we wanted to know where in Wirral serves the best British tradition.

What makes a good serving of fish and chips?

Is it the crispy batter surrounding the flaky fish teamed with perfectly cooked chips?

Do you add mushy peas or gravy or curry sauce?

Do they taste better when you eat them out of yesterday’s newspapers?

So far in our Best of 2023 competition, we’ve given out six awards in Wirral:

Best for Hair – The Hair, Beauty and Nail Lounge

Best for Pies – Pies4U

Best for Nails – Ebony J Nails & Beauty

Best for Roast Dinner – The Fox and Hounds

Best for Cocktails – Shaker Shaker

Best for Breakfast – Twenty Sixteen

This week, it’s fish and chips and now we need your help to choose the winner from our ten shortlisted nominees.

There are three ways to vote:

1. Search for the Best for Fish and Chips shortlists post on our Wirral Globe Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages and comment under the post with the name of your winner = 1 vote

2. Name your favourite in the comments section on this article via our website = 2 votes

3. Purchase a copy of this week’s Wirral Globe (Wednesday, June 7 edition) and fill in the entry form = 5 votes
