OFFICERS have asked people to "remain vigilant" after they received a report of a man hiding in some bushes.
Ellesmere Port Police issued the warning today (Wednesday, May 24) confirming that the report involved a man hiding in the bushes near the bottom of Mill Lane by the footbridge leading to Valley View.
The man is said to have shouted to a woman "Is this your coat?" which officers have said they believe was him "trying to get her to approach his location".
They have asked residents to "remain vigilant" when walking around this location.
In a post on Facebook, Ellesmere Port Police said: "Until we establish his identity and motive you are urged not to approach this male and to contact police as soon as possible."
