A WOMAN has been reunited with her bike after it was stolen seven months ago.
Officers from Merseyside Police recovered the mountain bike which had been stolen from the Hoylake area in October.
A man has since been arrested for the offence and released under investigation.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “We are delighted to return this mountain bike to its owner after it was stolen from the Hoylake area last October. A male has now been arrested for the offence and released under investigation.
“To all owners of bikes, we urge you to take advantage of our free Bike Register bike marking service. The details of your bike will be entered onto a nationwide database used by all UK Police forces.
“Please keep an eye out for posts from ourselves and Team Bebington advertising future bike marking events.
“If your bike was to be stolen, it is one of the most reliable ways to ensure that we can get it back to you.”
