WE have come to the end of April, so let's have a look back at some feel-good stories Wirral Globe has covered across the borough over the past month.
1. ‘He never forgot his roots’ Residents gather in Birkenhead to remember Paul O’Grady
Fans of the Birkenhead star Paul O'Grady stood outside Primark on Grange Road, Birkenhead to pay their respects and celebrate the celebrity’s life as part of a community event on the day of his funeral.
Locals and their dogs could be seen singing, dancing, and signing books of condolences while donations were collected.
The event was organised by Janine Reynolds who lived in Birkenhead until she was 13-years-old.
Speaking to the Globe at the event she said: "Birkenhead was Paul’s hometown and I’m sure he would have loved to have seen all the people who have turned out to celebrate his life today.
"The response has been overwhelming, and the turnout today has been fantastic. It couldn’t be more amazing."

3. Meet the Wirral friends who are giving every child the chance to play football
Nathan Haynes, 27, and Mikey Dixon, 28, from Pensby, currently play together for Neston Nomads FC on Sundays and Ashville Football Club on Saturdays.
Over the next couple of months, they have decided to collect football boots for children to pass on to kids across Merseyside and Cheshire who are less fortunate.
"It's just about there being no barriers", Nathan said.
"We've had a PE teacher tell us that they know a few children who won't get involved with football because they don't have the latest boots or only have the pumps you wear for PE.
"This is about being able to provide them with boots so they can play do what what we can to be the link between people who don't need the boots anymore and people who do.
