WIRRAL residents wanting a brown bin collection service from June will be able to apply later this month.
On Monday, April 24 residents will be able to apply or renew their subscription for a brown bin collection.
The new Garden Waste subscription period will run from June 13, 2023 until May 31 2024, with a three-week shutdown over Christmas and New Year.
The new subscription period is starting later this year to allow existing garden waste customers to receive collections they are owed.
Due to the rising costs of providing the kerbside collection service for garden waste, this year’s subscription is increasing from £50 to £52.50 – for the first bin. It will still be £30 for each additional bin.

Households that already subscribe to the fortnightly service can make changes to their subscription – such as adding another brown bin or reducing the number of bins they pay for – through the council’s website, from April 24.
Visit wirral.gov.uk/MyWirral and select request a service – garden waste update or cancel your Direct Debit arrangement.
Alternatively, call 0151 606 2004 during regular office hours.
