MAGENTA Living has delivered Easter eggs donated by their employees to their schemes supporting young people.

The egg donations have gone to Manor Road, an emergency accommodation scheme that provides support to young people aged 16 and 17 with the aim of helping them to move on to permanent housing.

The Our House trio is made up of Our House, First Base and Your House, supporting young women and their children to learn independent living skills.

Rachel Bennett, Housing Services Director at Magenta Living, said: “I’m delighted to be delivering  Easter egg donations to Manor Road and Our House. We are  proud of the work we do to support our young residents and we believe in, not just delivering excellent customer services, but also providing schemes such as these that make a positive impact within our communities.

“The Our House trio aims to not just move parents on to their own homes but succeed in being great parents and achieve the life goals they set for themselves.”

Our House is a 10 bed, 24 hour supported accommodation for young women, aged 16-25, and their children under the age of 2. The aim is to support young women, who have found themselves homeless or in need of a supported placement, to learn independent living skills to move on to live in the local community.

Some of the residents then move on to another part of the trio; First Base. This is a semi-supported accommodation of six bungalows for parents aged between 18-25 who are supported to be ready for independent living.

The third part of the trio is Your House where young parents who have moved into the community can be supported and manage their tenancies.
