A MAN has been arrested for dangerous driving following several reports of off-road scrambler bikes causing issues in Eastham.
On Sunday (March 26) officers seized 11 off-road scrambler bikes and reported drivers for multiple road traffic offences.
On Monday (March 27) police arrested a 34-year-old man from Beechwood after he was caught driving unsafely on a quad bike.
The 34-year-old was arrested for dangerous driving, driving without a licence, obstructing police, criminal damage and failure to provide.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “After several reports of off-road scrambler bikes causing issues in Eastham last Sunday, which resulted in 11 bikes being seized and drivers reported for numerous road traffic offences by officers from our Roads Policing Team, Wirral patrols have been robustly targeting this and other locations throughout the Wirral.
“On Monday a male, 34 from Beechwood was also arrested for Dangerous Driving, Driving Without A Licence, Obstruct Police, Criminal Damage and Fail to Provide after reports of a male causing issues on a quad bike that was showing no regard to the safety of other road users or nearby school children.
