KNOWSLEY Safari Park is hosting an Easter egg hunt this April.
The Spots and Stripes Safari Egg Hunt is set to take place from Saturday, April 1 until Saturday, April 16.
Visitors must find six giant easter eggs that will be hidden around the foot safari and sweet treats are up for grabs for those who complete the trail.
Egg hunters will receive a map and stickers upon arrival - all included with the admission price - to guide them in their search.
Knowsley Safari’s Rachel Scott said: “An egg hunt is an all-time favourite way to make memories with friends and family over the Easter holidays, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming visitors.
“Located throughout our Foot Safari - with its animal trails, touch tables and interactive learning sessions, not to mention rides and amusements – this is sure to be an egg hunt like no other.
“As well as enjoying all the fun of the search and chocolate prize at the end, our egg hunters will get to learn all about wildlife, conservation, and the evolutionary markings of many of the animals we have here at Knowsley Safari. Like how giraffes’ spots help to cool them down and how tigers’ stripey coats help to camouflage them. It really will be lots of fascinating family fun.”
Each of the six giant eggs will be spots or striped themed and, by the end of the trail, participants will find out interesting and fun facts such as why tigers have black stripes, and giraffe have distinctive brown spots and why they’re unique to each species.
Those who match all six stickers to the animals will be rewarded with a special chocolate surprise.
Knowsley Safari’s Spots & Stripes Safari Egg Hunt is taking place from Saturday, April 1 until Sunday, April 16 2023. Tickets can be booked in advance online. Adult tickets start from £22.50 and children’s start from £19.50. Under threes go free.
