A MAN from Prenton was “delighted” after he won his dream car and cash prize worth more than £180,000.

Ian Henderson was surprised with a new Audi RS6 Avant Performance worth more than £112,000 when Best of The Best’s (BOTB) Christian Williams turned up at his workplace to tell him he was a Dream Car Competition winner.

But the surprise didn’t end there, as Christian revealed to the business owner that his prize also came with £70,000 in cash stashed in the boot.

Ian, who owns Crystal Clear Window Systems in Prenton, said: “Nothing like this ever happens to me, I can’t believe it.

“It’s like someone has been watching over us and give us a helping hand.

“I have been playing for a couple of years and always hoped I would win one day. I have come really close before, but to finally win is amazing.

“I used to have a RS4 but have always loved the RS6 and to own one was a bit of a dream. It’s something I have never been able to afford.”

The 57-year-old added: “We might put some of the cash prize towards a house.

“We recently moved to bigger business premises which has drained us a bit, so the money will come in very handy. 

“It’s like someone has been watching over us and given us a helping hand.”

The RS6 Avant Performance features a V8 Twin-Turbo engine, lightweight 22-inch alloy wheels, 621bhp, and a top speed of 155mph.

Christian said: “I was delighted to be able to surprise Ian. It’s a stunning car and a great sum of cash.

“I heard Ian is one of the hardest working people on the Wirral, so hopefully he will be able to use some of the money to have a bit of a holiday.”
