A MAN has been arrested after a woman in her 60s was hit by a car.
Officers attended the scene on Burton Road in Neston just after 3pm yesterday (Wednesday, March 1).
They arrested a 42-year-old man from Parkgate on suspicion of drug driving and driving without due care and attention.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "Were called just after 3pm on March 1 to Burton Road following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car.
"The pedestrian, a local woman in her 60s, was taken to hospital for further checks.
"The driver of the car, a 42-year-old man from Parkgate, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and driving without due care and attention.
"He has since been released under investigation, pending further enquiries."
