FILM crews took over a Parkgate church earlier this week as filming continued for a brand-new series.
Crews set up their vans outside St Thomas' Church on School Lane in Parkgate on Monday (January 30) to film for the new Paramount Plus series, Sexy Beast.
The new series is the prequel to the 2000 gangster classic, Sexy Beast.
As well as Parkgate, the Sexy Beast film crew have been spotted in Liverpool, St Helens and Wirral over recent months.
It will host an entirely new cast to the original film and will star James McArdle as Gal Dove, Emun Elliott as Don Logan and Stephan Moyer as Teddy Bass. The show, set in 1990s London, will reveal the origins of the characters in Sexy Beast, which featured Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, Ben Kingsley and Amanda Redman.

Sexy Beast is an eight-part series that launches on Paramount Plus in the UK and around the world in 2023 but, as yet, there’s no definite release date.
