A CHINESE restaurant in Ellesmere Port is offering a 'Kids Eat Free' deal today (Wednesday, February 1) as teachers take strike action.
Tony Mok, and his wife Jasmine Yu, owners of Ateyate (pronounced 88) have decided to help out local families during the teacher strike action taking place today.
Large numbers of schools across the country are affected by teachers striking.
Many schools have closed completely or are running only a few classes.
Speaking to the Globe, Jasmine said: "Everything is getting more expensive now.
"And with teachers striking today for a higher wage we decided to let kids eat free to help out local families in the community."
