AN ongoing issue involving out-of-order lifts at Sainsbury's in Neston, has resulted in some residents choosing to shop elsewhere.
The store opened its doors in December 2010, creating more than 170 new jobs for the people of Neston.
Sainsbury’s is one of the only two big supermarkets in the town centre of Neston, with the other being Aldi.
However, for a number of months, all the lifts have frequently been out-of-order, or only one will work a time.

'Come on Sainsbury's get it sorted'
Residents have discussed the issue online.
One said: "No surprise there. I couldn't get my shopping to my car on one occasion. Had to get a couple of staff to help carry it. Shop mainly in Aldi now."
Another added: "Never known a set of lifts that continually break down. Come on Sainsbury’s, get it sorted."
Another resident said: "Yes a disgrace, they are going to lose customers, just went today with my friend."
One wrote: "Thought it was much quieter in Sainsbury's recently...dodgy lifts the reason also empty shelves..people will go to Aldi and Sainsbury's will close..shame."
'We're sorry for any inconvenience'
When questioned about the frequent out-of-order lifts, a Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: "There is currently a working lift at our Neston Superstore and we are working hard to fix the other lifts as soon as possible.
"We are sorry for any inconvenience."
