ONE person has sustained minor injuries following a two-vehicle crash involving two HGVs at the Two Mills junction after reports of faulty traffic lights.

This morning (January 23) police were contacted following reports that the traffic lights at the Two Mills junction, where the A540 Parkgate Road meets the A550 Welsh Road, were out of order.

Police were then called following a report of a collision at the same junction.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "Earlier today, Monday, January 23, police were made aware that the traffic lights at Two Mills were out of order.

"The incident was immediately reported to highways who are responsible for the lights.

"At 10.14am police were called to reports of a collision at the junction.

"Officers attended and found there had been a collision between two HGVs. One person sustained minor injuries and was treated by paramedics.

"Officers remain in attendance at the scene while recovery work is undertaken."

National Highways have been contacted for further comments about the out of order traffic lights.
